CELEBRATING OUR HALF CENTURY…
PPi are proud to be celebrating our 50th Anniversary.
The business was founded in 1968 by Bernard Smith and Len Rittman who worked together as toolmakers.
The company quickly gained a reputation for high quality workmanship and in the 1970’s they specialised in high precision mould tools for dot matrix print heads. It was at this time that our clients were having trouble finding moulders who could cope with the tight tolerances and this lead to the opening of our first mouldshop.
The manufacturing side of the business continued to grow and it was in the 1990’s that we were approached by Ford to help develop a new fuel filler for the Ford Focus. Prototype tooling was successfully tested. This lead to us producing fuel fillers for the Ford Focus, Ford Transit and Cougar throughout Europe and Mexico.
Today we are firmly established in the automotive industry as it accounts for around a third of our business.
We continue to develop our technical expertise and service in various sectors including Telecoms. Electronics, Medical and Display.
